A Community Doctor in Audiology is a doctor who:

Works with children with all types and degrees of hearing impairment, and who may have other difficulties.
Has training and experience in child development and audiology.
May work at any one of a number of different grades and working levels.
May work in a hospital and/or community setting.
Has a Public Health role.

Community doctors in audiology are responsible for all the medical aspects of hearing impairment:
aetiology, investigations.
genetics.
dysmorphism and syndromes.
otitis media with effusion.
early assessment post-meningitis.
